2014 Faves

Here are few of my favorite images from 2014!

Breanne and Ryan

Last month up I made a trip  up to the PNW and squeezed in a quick engagement session with Breanne and Ryan. The weather in typical NW fashion was beautiful right up until our shoot, ha! So typical. We made the best of the cloudy weather and had some fun exploring the area around Rattlesnake Lake. Even with the clouds the NW is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever known. The trees! They are incredible! Here are a few from our outing! Congrats Bre and Ryan!

The Lacys

Had a blast visiting our good friends Scott and Katie Lacy in Palm Springs last weekend! We finally got the chance to meet their ADORABLE little girl Caroline. Seriously they happiest baby I have ever met! Her smile and laugh were absolutely infectious and she had us cracking up all weekend! So glad we snuck in this mini photo session so I could share her smile with everyone!

The Tralkas

The Tralka family is one of the coolest families I have met! Tish is a mom and owns and operates The Doggie Beach Bus (goes and picks up your dog in a bright red VW van while your at work and takes them to the beach, check it out if you have a pup in the Encinitas area!) and Paul works for Saint Archer Brewing Co. Pretty cool combo, puppies, VW vans, and tasty beer! On top of their cool jobs Tish and Paul have two rad little kids, Koa and Taylor. Both their boys have the bluest eyes you have ever seen......seriously. Their dog Kalei came along for the photo session too and her bond with Koa is adorable, such a good dog!

NYC

This past weekend my wonderful husband took me on a little Valentines adventure to the Big Apple. Our timing couldn't have been more perfect because we were there while NYC was being hit with another massive snow storm. Now, I am sure the people who actually live in the city were getting pretty sick of all the white falling from the sky, but for us it was magical. We seriously had the best time just wandering the city, people watching, eating delectable food, seeing incredible art and actually experiencing some winter weather! Here are a few photos from our trip! Nick is such a good sport at playing model for me, LOL! ;)

Dragon Organics

I had the pleasure of spending the morning at the beautiful Dragon Organics Farm managed by my close friend Emily Staalberg. Emily is super humble and tries to downplay what she does for work but it's pretty amazing in my opinion. Dragon Organics is San Pasqual Academy's Agricultural Program located in East San Pasqual Valley. San Pascual Academy is a residential education campus for foster youth in San Diego County. The school not only provides the kids with a stable home and solid education, but teaches work and life skills as well. Emily not only manages the enitre farm, but also teaches the kids about farming and the rewards of growing something from a seed to something that can end up on your dinner table. It's pretty rad if you ask me!
